CBE Baseball: 2010 Photo Day “Sneak Peek” Preview

Just when it seemed the Spring 2010 high school sports season was just getting started, many “regular season” schedules are now winding to a close — with some district playoff schedules already starting today (Tuesday). But it’s never too late in the season for a special Team Photo Day session with David Nicholas Photography & Design! So we carved out a time-slot this past Saturday morning for Central Bucks East Baseball.

Our Lightbox Gallery below features a selection of “sneak peek” preview images from the team’s photo session captured outdoors during late-morning — but our lighting/exposures for many of these images were carefully designed to give the impression they were captured during sunset/twilight.

Class of 2010 Seniors… if you like what you see here, we’re always happy to schedule your photo session and incorporate a sports theme, before it’s time to retire this season’s uniform and equipment!

All C.B. East Baseball “photo day” proofs are being posted to the C.B. East Baseball 2010 Season photo gallery today, where additional online orders will be accepted. Please contact the studio if you have any questions.

Client Update: Former C.B. East graduate Dana

An extra special benefit in our business is watching our clients walk through the different chapters of their life. Sometimes that comes in the form of wedding clients deciding to start a family and then calling us again when it’s time to capture those very precious first few moments with their new-born baby. Other times it can be as simple as watching our high school senior clients graduate, follow their dreams, and explore different career possibilities down the road. In each case, these can be life-changing moments… and we feel extremely privileged when called upon to professionally capture them.

So at a time when many students we photographed during the 2008-2009 school year will be graduating this week, we thought we’d provide some inspiration for today’s grads by featuring former Central Bucks East graduate Dana (Class of 2007) as she explores the possibilities of a career in modeling.

Headshots and comp-cards serve as a model’s business card when it’s time for a model to work with agencies who will represent them in the commercial world. That’s the traditional way… so we here at David Nicholas Photography & Design thought we’d also offer Dana a contemporary alternative with a brief, 2-minute video WebShow featuring image highlights from Dana’s recent studio photo session. Simply click on the small “play icon” in the lower left portion of the video window’s control bar (see below). And definitely don’t forget to turn up the volume for this one!!! Enjoy…

Dana, the team at David Nicholas Photography & Design enjoyed capturing so many great images of you featured in this Webshow clip, and we hope our images help open many doors of opportunity for you as you explore this new career path. Your enthusiasm and high-spirit will take you far. Wishing you all the best!!!

Special Note to upcoming Class of 2010 Seniors:

This type of special video Webshow — also available on DVD — will be a new offering for all our high school senior “Class of 2010″ portrait clients: both ladies and gents. So call us today to set up a consultation meeting that will help us create YOUR contemporary senior portraits that will literally rock your world. It’s going to be a great time to be a Senior at David Nicholas Photography & Design… because it’s YOUR time to look amazing! Are you ready?

It’s NEVER too late for Senior Portraits!

In our corner of the world at David Nicholas Photography & Design, it’s NEVER too late in the school year for High School Senior portraits.  Although we’re definitely gearing up for some great promotions for the Class of 2010 this summer (stay tuned), we’re ALWAYS happy to photograph seniors at any time of the year — right up until their next chapter in life begins.  Why?  Because we believe seniors deserve the very finest and broadest selection of images available to them during this special time in their life.

So  whether the “high school yearbook photographer’s picture” left you less than thrilled and you’re looking for something completely different… Or if you’re simply looking to capture a special part of who you are now through YOUR choice of stylish outfits, then call us today to experience our world of High School senior photography.

C.B. South’s Abby, a member of this year’s Class of 2009, stopped in last month…  And here are 12 of our favorite images from her outdoor photo session set amidst the river birch trees and boulder landscaping outside our residential studio:

Congratulations, Abby!!!  We at David Nicholas Photography & Design wish you our very best in all you do after graduation.

Bucks County Lions Club All-Star Football: North Wins 16-7 Over South

With recent Baseball, Lacrosse and Spring Soccer tournaments now in the record books, our 2008-2009 school year sports photography concludes the way it began: with Football. Yes, that’s right… one final football game in June has become a tradition through the Bucks County Lions Club Football All-Star Classic, played this past Saturday evening at War Memorial Field in Doylestown.

We might be a bit biased, but we think there’s no better way to re-live game photo highlights than with a multi-media WebShow — in this case, featuring 188 of our finest, close-up, game-action images set to music. So turn up the volume, click on the “play” icon in the Webshow window below, and enjoy the show!!!

We’ve also created an online image gallery, 34th Annual Bucks County Lions Football Classic, which includes complete photo coverage of the game — including a close-up image of each player as they were announced on the field during the pre-game festivities, along with a few special photos from post-game activities as well. (Passcode for this image gallery is “lions” to be entered in all lowercase letters when prompted.)

Congratulations once again to all of this year’s All-Star participants, and we wish them all the best of luck after graduation! In addition, we want to express our sincere thanks to the athletic directors, parent booster clubs, coaching staffs and the players from various sports programs in our client schools for their tremendous support throughout the school year! Many thanks, everyone!!!
