C.B. South Titans Football: Hawks Win Season Opener 35-14

Football is now in full swing for area high schools, and we began our official “regular season” coverage this year with the Titans of Central Bucks South, as they hosted the Hawks of Council Rock South at Titan Field last Friday, September 3rd. We captured some great game action images from both teams as well as the halftime performance of Council Rock South’s Marching Band. And of course, capturing fun images of the fans along with C.B. South’s cheerleadering squad rounded out our photo coverage during select moments of the evening.

Complete photo coverage of the game can be found in the C.B. South Football 2010 Season photo gallery in the online proofing section of our website. But for a special treat, visitors needn’t look any further than right here on our blog, since we’ve turned up our WebShow productions yet another notch this season so team members, families and fans can re-live the game with nearly the same intensity level as being there! Just turn up the volume at your workstation, and click on the “play” icon below to start this week’s 5-minute, multi-media WebShow featuring 100 select images in HD quality set to ultra high-energy music. On second thought, if you’re viewing at work… best to use headphones or ear buds set on low volume for this one unless the boss is watching with you! Either way, enjoy and be inspired!!! (High-speed internet connection required due to HD bandwidth requirements. Peak viewing times may experience a slight delay upon video start-up.)

After viewing the video, don’t forget to visit the C.B. South Football 2010 Season photo gallery, where we’ve posted more images for team members, families and fans!

For High School Football Week #2, the Titans will host the Indians of Council Rock North for their second home game of the season… and we’ll be returning to War Memorial Field in Doylestown for C.B. East’s first home game this season, as the Patriots — fresh off an overtime 13-7 win against Abington last week — host the Hawks in a rare Saturday afternoon high school football game.

CBS Titans Football Preview: Pennsbury Pre-Season Scrimmage

The Titans took to their home field this past Saturday and got a chance to work through this season’s playbook during a morning scrimmage against Pennsbury.  And we took the opportunity to get back out on the sidelines and capture some pre-season activity in preparation for the Titan’s season opener at home on September 3rd, when they host Council Rock South.

Our Lightbox Gallery features 12 image highlights from Saturday’s scrimmage, while more complete coverage can be found in the C.B. South Football 2010 Season photo gallery located in the online proofing section of our website.

Titans fans, enjoy the early preview of this year’s team!

As a reminder to our client football families of C.B. South and C.B. East, please contact the studio early in the season if you are interested in a Personal Sports Yearbook or a Custom Poster Montage, so you’ll be sure to have a great selection of images when it’s time for us to produce your one-of-a-kind keepsake at the end of the season!

“The Boys of Fall” Kick Off This Year’s Autumn Sports Season!

Yes, it IS that time of the year again! And as “the boys of fall” prepare for another football season, hardworking members of area high school marching band and cheer organizations recently began summer camp sessions as well. And in a matter of days, Football Season will officially be upon us. Scrimmages are tentatively scheduled for the next two weekends, and we’ve already photographed “pre-season” Photo Days for C.B. East’s Marching Band and C.B. South’s Football Team — with more Photo Day activities yet on the docket.

Here are some “sneak previews” of recent Photo Day images already captured during the past week.  The first set is from an outdoor photo session for C.B. South’s Football Team — featuring a relaxed and fun senior group shot, followed by a few individual shots captured with our high-contrast, off-camera lighting set-up:

And for the Marching Band at Central Bucks East High School, we’re “sneak previewing” a couple of images captured indoors with our portable studio lighting along with one of our newest and uniquely colorful studio backgrounds:

So whether you’re organization’s Photo Day calls for an outdoor or indoor venue, let David Nicholas Photography & Design provide you with images of unparalleled style and quality.  We’ll deliver professional images that are truly stunning and sure to be enjoyed for years to come!

And now… for those who may need just a bit more motivation to keep pace with this year’s upcoming Autumn Sports calendar, we can’t think of a better way than to view this timely music video recently released (earlier this month) by Country Music’s Kenny Chesney… aptly entitled, The Boys of Fall.  If you’ve ever wondered what happens behind the scenes during pre-game and half-time locker room pep talks, this documentary-style video gives viewers an awesome glimpse into the emotion and coaching intensity level that brings out the “Friday Night Football” we’ve come to know over the years.

Enjoy… and we hope to see many of you on the sideline soon!

PIAA State Softball Tournament: C.B. South Blanks Governor Mifflin 5-0 Enroute to Shippensburg Final!

We once again caught up with the Lady Titans this past Monday evening for a few innings of their PIAA state tournament semi-final game against Governor Mifflin played at Patriots Park in Allentown, PA. By sunset, the Lady Titans knew they’d be “Shippensburg-bound” this Friday to play in the 2010 PIAA State Softball Championship Final against Mount Lebanon who earlier in the day edged Hatboro-Horsham 2-1 — depriving the Lady Hatters of what would surely have been an exciting re-match between two District One teams who just over a week earlier battled for the District One crown. But fate had a different game in mind — one that would pit an Eastern PA team against a Western PA team. So it will be C.B. South vs. Mount Lebanon.

We’ve added 40 game action images and candid sports portraits capturing some great moments from Monday’s semifinal to the C.B. South Softball 2010 Season photo album located in our online proofing galleries. Meanwhile, visitors can also enjoy 15 of our featured images right here in the Lightbox Gallery below:

We send along our heartfelt wishes to the Lady Titans as they make the long trip out to Shippensburg on Friday for the final leg of this season’s quest to bring home the 2010 state softball crown. Win or lose though, you are all winners in our eyes… and we hope the special images we’ve captured this season will always help you to remember the very special season that it turned out to be.

A prior scheduling commitment will prevent us from joining the Lady Titans in Shippensburg this Friday… but do know that we’re wishing the Titan community all the very best. Enjoy the ride, ladies — both the roadtrip to/from Shippensburg as well as the emotional ride taking you to the realm of championship competition at a new level. Savor the moment… and best wishes, Ladies!

PIAA District One Softball Final: Nothing Soft About It as Lady Titans Capture District Crown!

The game is called softball. But quite frankly, there’s nothing soft about it when two top-notch teams battle out a contest in searing heat as C.B. South and Hatboro-Horsham did last Thursday afternoon. Through much of the game, the score remained 0-0, which was a testament to some great defensive plays along with steady pitching from each team’s ace hurlers: Fran Carrullo (CB South, junior) and Maggie Schaffer (Hatboro-Horsham, sophomore). And when the Lady Hatters were up 2-0 in the 6th inning, the Lady Titans quickly came back to make it a new game at 2-2 — eventually sending the contest into an International Tie-Breaker in the 10th inning, where each team started their part of the inning with a runner in scoring position at 2nd base. After a dramatic put-out at home plate to end the Lady Hatters 10th inning at-bat, the Lady Titans scored on an equally dramatic home plate play in the bottom of the 10th, securing the District One crown with a final score of 3-2.

We haven’t produced one of our signature WebShows in awhile, and we thought the District One Softball Final would lend itself to some great images set to high-energy music. So hear ya go, softball fans!!! Just turn up the volume; click on the “play” icon in the video-window below; and re-live some great action sequences — mixed in with game action sports portraiture and LOTS of emotion — from last Thursday’s contest. Enjoy… and be inspired!!!

For viewers preferring to view images from the game one by one at their own pace, please visit the C.B. South Varsity Softball 2010 Season photo gallery for images from this and a few other 2010 Lady Titans softball games as well.

Both teams will now head to the PIAA State Softball Tournament which gets underway this week. Best of luck Ladies!!!

[UPDATE: Both C.B. South and Hatboro-Horsham won their games in the State Tournament's first round on Monday, June 7th. So both teams advance to the quarterfinals on June 10th, where C.B. South will meet District 2's top-seed Hazleton at Patriots Park in Allentown, and Hatboro-Horsham will take on District 1's #4-seed Bishop Shanahan (again) at Upper Merion HS in King of Prussia.]
