Yes! There’s Still Time…

To grab that perfect GIFT, of course!!!

It’s undoubtedly been a very busy week for everyone… including our faithful companion, Zuke (who has been known to affectionately greet an unsuspecting client or two when they stop by our office).

[caption id="attachment_1466" align="aligncenter" width="900" caption="Zuke, our faithful companion catches a few Z's in his favorite chair in our office during the Christmas crunch." ]Zuke, our faithful companion catches a few Z's in his favorite chair in our office during the Christmas crunch.[/caption]

But there’s still time to grab a David Nicholas Photography & Design gift certificate for that very special someone in your life! Our gift certificates can be used toward studio sessions, on-location sessions, prints, albums and just about everything you’ll need to experience the very finest in contemporary photography our studio has to offer!

It’s actually a perfect time to treat someone to a studio session this time of year, since weather for outdoor sessions tends to be a bit less predictable during our Bucks County Winters. Or perhaps with everyone home for the Holidays, it’s a great opportunity to have a family portrait session at your house while it’s nicely decorated for Christmas. Or even fit in a “Class of 2012″ High School Senior session that’s light-years beyond the one that the high school yearbook photographer provided last August. It’s never too late to get cutting-edge images for graduation announcements you’ll be proud to send out to family and friends in a few months.

The possibilities are endless!!! And we’re more than happy to bring our creativity to whatever you have in mind. So give us a call today, and we’ll send you on your way with a gift certificate (or two) that’s sure to please those “tough-to-shop-for” folks on your list!!!

We here at David Nicholas Photography & Design want to take this moment to wish everyone a very peaceful Holiday Season and a Happy, Healthy New Year!!! A big heartfelt “Thank You!” goes out to all our clients for helping make 2011 another exciting year for us. We hope everyone has enjoyed our world of image-making, as much as we’ve enjoyed bringing great images to you. As always, stay tuned… and watch this space for more exciting offerings in 2012!

Are You Ready for Some Football?

Yes, it’s that time of the year again… when the end of Summer is right around the corner and our Bucks County Autumn is now less than a month away! That also means “football season” is upon us, and we’re once again providing season-coverage for two of our local-area client high schools: Central Bucks East and Central Bucks South. In addition to photographing both teams for their official “Photo Day” in August, we were also responsible for the photography, layout and design for the Patriot’s 2011 football program ad book cover, which will feature the 2011 Patriot Seniors. Jeffrey Sparks Excavating and Topsoil served as the backdrop location for this season’s Patriots cover photo, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results — not to mention the fact that the client loves it too!!! Here’s a sneak-preview of the C.B. East football program cover design, for those Patriots fans who can’t make it to the season opener on Friday, September 2nd:

CBE2011_Football_Program_Cover

Our planned photography coverage for the C.B. East Patriots this season includes the following 6 Varsity games:

Abington on September 2nd; Neshaminy on September 16; Hatboro-Horsham on September 24; Pennridge on October 6th; Central Bucks West on October 14th; and Central Bucks South on November 4th.

Central Bucks South takes a different approach for their program ad book cover — printing a different cover picture for each home game, featuring a different group each time (i.e., football seniors, cheerleaders, marching band, etc…).  The following “Titans Seniors shot”, captured during the team’s Photo Day, will be featured on the Titan’s first program cover for their home opener on September 16th:

Our planned photography coverage for the C.B. South Titans this season includes the following 6 Varsity games:

Council Rock North on September 9th; North Penn on September 23; Central Bucks West on September 30; Hatboro-Horsham on October 21; Pennridge on October 28th; and Central Bucks East on November 4th.

Additionally, based on our schedule and availability, we also plan to give the JV teams for both schools a glimpse into our world of professional photography as well.  The JV teams work extremely hard all season too… and they’ll be “tomorrow’s Varsity team” in the next year or two!

Best of luck to both schools for a great 2011 football season!!!

36th Annual Bucks County Lions All-Star Football Highlights

Each school-year, we seem to conclude our sports photography coverage the way we start it: with football. And the 2010/2011 school-year was no exception, as we juggled our schedule to photograph the twice-postponed 36th Annual Bucks County Lions All-Star Football Classic this year. Mother Nature provide a much-welcome weather break on Monday evening, June 13. And this year’s North all-stars maintained a persistent attack over the South, resulting in a 49-28 victory for the North team after 52 minutes of intense football action at War Memorial Field in Doylestown, PA. For one last time this school-year, we’ve selected our favorite close-up images of the evening that tell the story David-Nicholas style through one of our HD WebShows which has football action written all over it. We trust that our images along with the accompanying music will conjure up the emotional intensity and competitive spirit of this year’s all-star game! So adjust your audio, click the “play” icon in the video window below, and enjoy!!!

See a few images that caught your eye? These images and many more from the game — along with a photo roster of players as they were announced onto the field — have been posted to our online proofing galleries under Lions Club All-Star Football.

We wish the Class of 2011 the very best in all their post-graduation plans, and we wish our entire client community a safe and pleasant Summer!

And speaking of Summer… we here at David Nicholas Photography & Design encourage the upcoming Class of 2012 to give us a call and treat yourself to the area’s leading High School Senior Portrait experience! Go ahead and schedule the yearbook shot with the school-contracted “national photography company” if school policy requires, but then visit David Nicholas Photography & Design for the “real” senior portraits that will uniquely capture your style. Discover what the buzz is all about by taking advantage of our Summer High School Senior portrait specials for the month of July. Call now for your best selection of dates, times and locations! Whether you prefer “in-studio” or “on-location”, you’ll be impressed with our individualized approach to capturing you at your best during a very special time in life. So we invite you to join our exclusive list of clients! Are you ready?

By mid-August, we’re already back in Team Photography mode for Autumn 2011 sports. Although our 2011 Football Schedule is already committed for regular-season “game action coverage”, we’re more than happy to accommodate a limited number of additional schools, teams, cheerleading squads and marching bands for a David Nicholas “Photo Day”, where a larger audience can experience cutting-edge images that have received rave reviews over the years. We’re proud to set the bar each and every year for our high school client communities, and we’ll continue to ensure that the client-experience you receive at David Nicholas Photography & Design is the area’s finest.

CBE Baseball: Banquet Marks Another Year of Team Photography Coverage

Yes… it’s that time of the year again. And we were more than pleased to once again participate in this year’s end-of-season banquet celebration for Central Bucks East Baseball. Nine seniors will be leaving the team after graduation in June, and we provided each senior with a “2011 Season Highlights” DVD along with a personalized poster providing a lasting memory of their unique contribution to the team for the 2011 season. The posters were printed on pearlescent-finish paper and mounted to black foam-core. Although delivered as a finished product as-is, the poster can be optionally framed at the client’s discretion. Click on the “play” icon in the center of the flash-gallery window below to begin viewing each of the 9 posters, presented in order of the player’s jersey number.

A complete set of those images used in the season-highlighter DVDs and more have been also posted to our online proofing galleries under C.B. East Baseball 2011 Season. Enjoy, Patriots baseball fans!!!

We extend our best wishes to this year’s graduates! Congratulations, Class of 2011!!!

‘Tis The Season…

For end-of-season, Autumn sports banquets, that is!

Yes… it seems like we just posted “The Boys of Fall” video as an inspirational preview to mark the start of our Autumn 2010 football photography coverage for Central Bucks East and Central Bucks South, our two “regular season” football client high schools. But oh how quickly early December hit — often the traditional time for end-of-season Fall sports banquets that recognize Senior team members in a big way.

At yesterday’s banquet, Central Bucks East 2010 Football Seniors received one of our two newly designed “East Side Pride” posters — personalized with the Senior’s name, year, and team logo. We produced the posters as 16×20 pearlescent metallic prints mounted to 3/4″ black foam-core — a truly elegant presentation featuring beautifully saturated colors with a striking, three-dimensional quality. Each poster featured an image of the Senior’s choice that represented a very special time in his high school football career. All 29 C.B. East posters are highlighted in the Lightbox Gallery below:

We wish all our Football Seniors and their families the very best in the future… and we hope to see some of you in upcoming Winter and Spring sports events before graduation. All the best, everyone!!!
