CBE Lacrosse: Proven Strategy Sets the Bar for Patriots Post-Season Expectations

It’s been a proven strategy right out of Coach Garcia’s playbook: Expose the Patriots (who’ve been 6-time SOL Continental Conference champions) early in the season to top-notch LAX talent, the likes of which they’ll need to handle when post-season tournaments start in late-May. And this year, that talent came in the form of “pre-season” scrimmages against perennial powerhouse LAX teams from Emmaus and Abington high schools, as well as an early “regular season” match-up this past Monday afternoon with St. Joseph’s High School of Metuchen — currently New Jersey’s #2 team in the LaxPower computer ratings.

Our online proofing galleries contain 60 action-packed, publication-quality images that capture the intensity of Monday’s varsity competition. And 22 of those images are previewed here in a Lightbox gallery below:

Don’t forget to visit our C.B. East Mens Lacrosse 2010 Season online gallery for complete photo coverage of the game. Tonight (Wednesday) the Patriots host the Indians from Council Rock North at War Memorial Field at 7PM for the team’s first evening game “under the lights” this season, where we expect they’ll quickly regroup from Monday afternoon’s 17-6 loss to St. Joseph. It’s part of the learning process teams must endure on their way to greatness.

CBE Lacrosse: Mens LAX Season Starts with a Win-Win in Souderton

Due to nearly 4″ of drenching rains earlier in the week, C.B. East’s natural grass “home field” remained largely unplayable even amidst Wednesday’s sunny skies — necessitating a venue change which sent the Patriots over to Souderton’s new artificial turf field for a delayed “season opener” with the Indians. As part of the venue change, the Patriots will now host the Indians at War Memorial Field on April 14th when the two teams square off for their 2010 rematch contest “under the lights”. Both Varsity and Junior Varsity mens LAX teams from C.B. East won their contests against Souderton this week.

The last-minute change in venue meant we couldn’t attend the Varsity game in Souderton due to a prior schedule commitment; however, we were able to capture some great action moments and player profile shots for JV team members! Hang in there Varsity team members and fans… we plan to capture two Varsity games next week at War Memorial Field on Monday afternoon (vs. Metuchen’s St. Joseph HS) and Wednesday evening (vs. Council Rock North)!

So this year’s C.B. East Mens LAX 2010 Season photo gallery officially gets underway with 50 images from the JV Souderton game — 20 of which are featured here on our blog. Just click on the lightbox window below to enjoy any of the 20 featured images right here. Enjoy!!!
