To quote Mark Twain, “The rumors of my death are greatly exaggerated.” And such was the case for the area’s big “East vs West” football rivalry, which understandably has changed in recent years following the opening of C.B. South High School in the 2004-2005 school year. Changed? Yes. Dead? Far from it. And that couldn’t have been any clearer as the often emotionally charged, arch-rivalry hit full force Friday evening to a packed audience at War Memorial Field — from the opening kick-off all the way to the Patriot’s last attempted scoring drive as the game’s precious final seconds ticked off the clock, resulting in a 13-12 score in favor of the Bucks.
Our multimedia HD WebShow this week features 100 of our favorite images as seen from the Central Bucks East side of the field. Enjoy, Patriots fans!!!
An alternate WebShow for visitors on a slower broadband Internet connection can be viewed by clicking this link.
Additionally, the images featured in the WebShow — along with a few other images as well — will be posted in the C.B. East Football 2010 Season photo gallery.
Next weekend, our schedule allows for back-to-back Central Bucks football coverage as we photograph C.B. South’s game on Friday night when the Titans host the Hatters at Titan Stadium, and then C.B. East’s game on Saturday afternoon when the Patriots host the Panthers at War Memorial Field.
